Washington, DC — The American Constitution Society (ACS) today announced the selection of Joey Vettiankal as the new student member of ACS’s Board of Directors.
Vettiankal will serve a two-year term on the board.
“I feel incredibly honored to be invited to join the other esteemed members of the American Constitution Society Board of Directors,” Vettiankal said. “When I began law school, ACS was the community that showed me the power of my voice as a future lawyer to advocate for others and that I had a place within the legal profession. I look forward to working with the Board to ensure other students have that same community and empower fellow ACS student leaders by listening to our student chapters and sharing my own personal experiences from serving as President of the 2023 ACS student chapter of the year at Vanderbilt Law School.”
Vettiankal, a rising third-year law student at Vanderbilt Law School, served as the president of the school’s ACS student chapter. Under his leadership, the Vanderbilt chapter coordinated 19 substantive and compelling events, grew its membership, expanded its board, increased attendance at its events, and partnered with the Nashville ACS Chapter. Vanderbilt’s chapter was selected as ACS’s 2023 Student Chapter of the Year.
Vettiankal also was recently selected as a 2023 Next Generation Leader by ACS.
