ACS Honors the Legacy of Rep. Elijah Cummings

U.S. Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Maryland) passed away today at the age of 68. Below is a statement from Interim ACS President Zinelle October:

“We are saddened by Rep. Elijah Cummings’ passing, and offer our condolences to his family, staff, constituents and colleagues. Rep. Cummings was a tireless public servant and a true statesman. He was dedicated to his constituents and was a champion and fierce protector of the Constitution, civil rights, and the rule of law. He was a mentor and role model to many in the ACS network.

We must continue to carry on his legacy of safeguarding our democracy and freedoms for the sake of all Americans and future generations.”
