The Hill: The Senate should cancel August recess to focus on confirming judges
ACS President Russ Feingold published an op-ed in The Hill urging the Senate to stay in session in August and prioritize confirming judges. Feingold argues that in a divided and slow-moving Senate currently not distracted by an election year, the Senators ought to cancel August recess and remain in DC to confirm the judicial vacancies left to fill.
"The relative meager pace might be all well and good if the Senate were also knee deep in legislation that had a fighting chance of passing. It’s not. Confirming judges is arguably the most productive and impactful thing the 118th Senate can do."
