Jessica Smith-Peterson is the Deputy Public Defender at Clark County Public Defender. Previously, she was the Student Member on the National Board of Directors of the American Constitution Society. She also served as the Staff Attorney for the ACLU of Nevada.

Smith-Peterson received her J.D. from Howard University School of Law. She received her B.A. in Political Science and Anthropology from the University of California, Los Angeles.
