Trump v. Anderson and the state of the Court
In Trump v. Anderson the Colorado Supreme Court held that former President Trump could not appear on the Colorado Primary Ballot because it would violate Colorado election law. The decision was subsequently appealed to and heard by the Supreme Court. The Court has not yet issued an opinion but the oral arguments raised a number of constitutional issues that could have sweeping consequences as elections are held over the next nine months.
The Cleveland State University College of Law chapter of the American Constitution Society will host a panel discussion to unpack some of these issues. Panelists will include Constitutional Law scholars Dr. Abby Moncrief, Professor Reginald Oh, and Professor David Forte. We will be joined by a special guest Mr. Eric Olson who argued Anderson v. Griswold and Trump before the Colorado Supreme Court.
No RSVP is required.
