State Civil Rights Remedies for Gender Violence in the 21st Century

Penn State Dickinson's American Constitution Society chapter is proud to welcome Professor Julie Goldscheid of CUNY School of Law to speak on Civil Rights Remedies for Gender Violence in the 21st Century. Professor Goldscheid is a leading legal scholar in the field of gender and violence. She has litigated United States v. Morrison before the Supreme Court. Professor Goldscheid's work has been published in The New York Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, Slate, SCOTUSblog, The Michigan Journal of Race & Law, The Florida State University Law Review and various other publications. Professor Goldscheid has agreed to return to speak at the law school where she used to teach. She will be introduced by Professor Katherine Pearson. The event will be co-sponsored by Dickinson Law's Women's Law Caucus, Black Law Students Association and OutLaw.
