Ratified, But Now What

ACS will be hosting a panel discussion on the Equal Rights Amendment, which Virginia ratified earlier this year. The panel will include a representative from Vote Equality, a national organization dedicated to enacting the ERA; Senator Jen McClellan, one of the amendment’s patrons in the Virginia Senate; and Virginia Deputy Solicitor General Michelle Kallen, the counsel of record on Virginia, Nevada, and Illinois’s suit against the National Archivist. They will discuss the continued saliency of the amendment, Virginia’s choice to ratify it, and the litigation surrounding it.
