Prof. Garrett Epps: Democracy Reborn and the Story of the 14th Amendment

Prof. Garrett Epps is a renowned legal scholar, author, and journalist. He will be discussing his work on the end of the Civil War, the evolution of the 14th Amendment, and its central purpose to protect newly freed people from the backlash white supremacy. In essence, the 14th Amendment was part of a Second Founding. Epps was recently featured in the Netflix documentary "Amend."
