Presidential Power Over the Nuclear Weapons Use: Constitutional War Powers & the New U.S. Plan to Defend Taiwan

Professor Jane Cramer of the University of Oregon will present on her research on nuclear weapons proliferation, foreign policy, public perceptions on nuclear weapons first-use, and modern missile technology spending. Her presentation will be framed in light of the War Powers Resolution of 1973. Professor Ofer Raban of the University of Oregon School of Law will offer subsequent constitutional analysis on the balance of power, the spending power, and war powers. The event is open to everyone, without need for RSVP. The event will be at 5:30 p.m. in Knight Law Room 175 at the University of Oregon School of Law. There will be time for questions following the presentations.
