On the Margins: Black, Queer, and Beyond
This event is set to be an interactive, collaborative dialogue. The goal is to use Mississippi HB1523 to facilitate an interactive space on the intersection of Blackness, Queerness, and other marginalized identities where students and participants learn from each other through the use of media, reflection, and discussion. This is our way of celebrating Black people and highlighting the importance of the Constitution and the way in which courts have interpreted the First Amendment and the effects of its interpretation on Mississippians and Americans. We will be providing food and sweets. This event is in partnership with ACLU and OUTlaw.
