How Current Immigration Policies Implicate First and Fifth Amendment Rights
Professor Erin Collins and Professor Tom Donnelly will lead a conversation about how recent action by the Trump Administration's Department of Homeland Security implicate the rights enshrined in the First and Fifth Amendments to the Constitution. For example, they will discuss the deportation of hundreds of immigrants to El Salvador without any hearings or other processes that would provide due process, and the arrest of students such as Mahmoud Kahlil and many others after they engaged in protests and other speech unfavored by the current administration.
No RSVP required, and lunch will be provided.
