Adding a Citizenship Question to the 2020 Census: Organizing and Litigation Efforts
Please join the Stanford American Constitution Society (ACS), the Stanford Election Law Project (ELP), and Stanford Advocates for Immigrants’ Rights (SAIR) in welcoming Denise Hulett, National Senior Counsel at MALDEF, and Julia Marks, Staff Attorney at Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Asian Law Caucus, to campus. Denise and Julia will be reviewing the status of litigation regarding the possible addition of a citizenship question to the 2020 United States Census and the ongoing work to ensure as accurate a count as possible across all communities. Their talk will be followed by a brief question-and-answer session. Lunch will be served.
