ACS Bay Area: Creating a Progressive Pipeline to the Federal Judiciary
Join the American Constitution Society, California ChangeLawyers, and the Equal Justice Society for a presentation and panel discussion for lawyers and law students on creating a pipeline to the federal judiciary. We will explore how progressives can develop pathways to the federal bench from law schools through clerkships and legal careers that result in the appointment and confirmation of qualified progressive jurists by the President and U.S. Senate.
Conservatives succeeded in transforming the judiciary into an ideological tool for their special interests by nurturing a vast and efficient network of law students and attorneys into jurists. Our panelists will discuss how we can build the necessary structures for progressive law students and attorneys to become successful candidates for the federal bench.
