ACS and the Solomon Center Present: The ACA before the Court
The Affordable Care Act is back before the Supreme Court. On November 10, the Court will hear oral arguments in California v. Texas. In this case, Republican state attorneys general argue that the 2017 tax bill rendered the ACA’s individual mandate unconstitutional by reducing to zero the mandate’s tax penalty for noncompliance. As a result, they insist that the entire ACA must fall. To help us work through the history, arguments, and potential consequences of this case, the Yale Law ACS Student Chapter and the Solomon Center are so excited to be joined by Linda Greenhouse, Abbe R. Gluck, Andrew J. Pincus, and Stuart Delery. We hope to see you there!
