A More Perfect Union: Juvenile Justice Symposium
Please join NCCU School of Law's American Constitution Society and Civil Rights Society for a day of conversations and community building around juvenile justice on March 17, 2023, from 8:30 am-4:15 pm in the Great Hall in the Turner Law Building.
Co-sponsored by the NCCU School of Law Civil Rights Society, this event will include panels touching on the complicated issues implicated in the juvenile justice system, including the rights of juveniles, school and community safety, the relationships that exist between involvement in the juvenile justice system and trauma, and supporting youth who cause harm and their families.
We are pleased to welcome panelists from NCCU School of Law's clinical education program, the NC Department of Public Safety, North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, SafeChild North Carolina, and the North Carolina Department of Justice, among others. There will be four panels, a pro bono/volunteer networking lunch, and a career/mentorship mixer. A light breakfast and lunch will be served.
NCCU Student and ACS priority registration ends March 2nd and will then be available to interested community members.
