Far West Texas Public Defender's Office Panel

In collaboration with the Criminal Law Society (student organization at TAMU Law), we will host a panel of six public defenders from the Far West Texas Regional Public Defender's Office (https://www.facebook.com/FWTRPD/). Topics of focus include representing indigent clients and "legal desert" problem solving in Texas, as well as access to justice in general. Speakers will detail their job duties, reasons they chose this field, and how the state and counties establish new public defender offices.

Members of both organizations, as well as the general body will be invited, and we plan to seek RSVPs to better estimate attendance and food requirements.
