Jordan Guillen

Assistant Director of Chapters

Jordan Guillen (he/him) joined ACS in June 2022 and serves as the Assistant Director of Chapters. In this capacity, he supports the existing East Coast and California ACS lawyer and student chapters, cultivates opportunities to expand our network, and builds sustainable relationships to further ACS’s mission of advancing progressive legal values, with a strong emphasis on diversity and inclusion.

From 2022 to 2024, Jordan served as the Chapter Associate at ACS. During this time, he organized and managed over 100 lawyer chapter events, assisted in the planning and execution of the 2023 and 2024 National Conventions and the 2023 and 2024 Student Conventions, and helped launch ACS’s first pilot undergraduate chapter at Princeton University. Through his strong support of the chapters across the U.S. and deep commitment to ACS’s values, Jordan was promoted to Assistant Director, not only the youngest but first time an individual who has not yet graduated law school served in this role.

Prior to joining ACS, he served as a research intern at the Death Penalty Information Center (DPIC), a renowned non-profit organization focused on providing in-depth analysis and information about capital punishment to the media and the public. At DPIC, Jordan meticulously aggregated and compared data for the organization's comprehensive databases encompassing every individual sentenced to death in the United States since 1972. Additionally, he played a key role in refining DPIC's recruitment databases and tracking the organization's media influence.

Driven by a passion for learning, Jordan pursued his education ambitiously. While in high school, he earned his AA Degree in Political Science from Los Angeles Mission College. He furthered his academic journey by obtaining a B.A. in Political Science - Public Service and Sociology, with an emphasis in Law & Society, a year early, from the University of California, Davis and plans to apply to law school in the Fall of 2024. Jordan, originally from Los Angeles, is currently based in Washington, DC. In his free time, he enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with his Labradoodle, Elio.
