This Privacy Policy describes the types of information that The American Constitution Society for Law and Policy including its lawyer and student chapters (collectively “ACS”) may collect from you or that you may provide when you visit https://www.acslaw.org or those of its lawyer and student chapters (collectively, “Website”). ACS does not sell or share any information about its website users for commercial purposes, and ACS does not collect personal identifying information about its users except as described below.

If you would like to modify or delete any of the information you entered while signing up for our newsletter, email us at info@ACSLaw.org. You may request to be unsubscribed from our email list at any time.
When you donate online, you are asked to provide your name, contact information, and payment information. We use this information to process your payment and ensure it is correctly credited to your account.
When you donate to ACS, you are added to our email list so that you are kept up to date on our work. You may unsubscribe from our email list at any time.
ACS may disclose certain personal information to third parties, (i) to manage the Website and database with the help of service providers (who are obligated to maintain the confidentiality of any provided personal information), (ii) as part of our normal business operations, (iii) to send you communications about your interactions with us or about features of the Website, or (iv) as required by law or requested by governmental or law enforcement authorities, subpoena, court order or discovery request, or when we otherwise believe in good faith that such disclosure is appropriate in connection with any activity that may violate the law or the rights of others, threaten the safety or security of any person or property (including the Website) or expose us to liability.
In addition, ACS may occasionally share our email list with organizations that we think may interest you (“Sharing Organizations”). ACS has taken steps designed to protect the loss, misuse, or alteration of your Personal Information. Please note that Personal Information sent over an unsecured Internet connection could be obtained by third parties.
Children’s Privacy
The Website is not targeted toward, and we do not seek or desire to collect information from, children under the age of 13. Therefore, we will not knowingly request information from persons under such age. If we become aware that we have collected any personal information from children under 13, we will promptly use commercially reasonable efforts to delete such information.
