ACS Board of Academic Advisors member Andrew Manuel Crespo authored op-eds in The Washington Post and Lawfare, and was interviewed on WBUR, discussing why the arrest in the infamous Portland van video is unconstitutional and unpacking the troubling press conference by the Department of Homeland Security following the incident.

ACS Board of Academic Advisors member Steve Vladeck was interviewed on NPR noting that the Department of Homeland Security has much more important issues to focus on instead of memorials and statues, such as the global pandemic.

ACS The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law Faculty Advisor Katrina Lee is the incoming President of the Association of Legal Writing Directors.

ACS Next Generation Leader Christina Beeler was quoted in NPR about a Texas school board grooming policy that required a student to cut his dreadlocks and punished the student with suspension when he refused to comply with the policy.

ACS Next Generation Leader Ashland Johnson was quoted in The New York Times about the signs of progress within the NFL on issues surrounding race and sexism, and the work involved to bring about this progress.

ACS Next Generation Leader Evan Miller was quoted in Courthouse News Service about his petition to retroactively apply the new California bar exam cut score to the February 2020 California bar examination.

ACS Next Generation Leader Melissa Wasser was highlighted in Global Financial Integrity for her work in the transparency field as a Policy Analyst at the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press.

ACS Chicago Lawyer Chapter Co-Chair Dan Cotter wrote in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin about the Supreme Court handling death penalty matters after its term adjourned, and about how President Trump’s record setting judicial appointments has left few vacancies remaining.

ACS Chicago Lawyer Chapter Board of Advisors member Jon Loevy and ACS members Flint Taylor and Steve Art filed a federal civil rights lawsuit to restrain President Trump’s promised surge of federal law enforcement agents in Chicago.
