La colección documental de José Trías y los derechos reproductivos
An illustrated conference based on the personal archives of the Hon. José Trías Monge— one-time Chief Justice of the Puerto Rico Supreme Court— which were bequeathed to the University of Puerto Rico School of Law's Library. The event will have a focus on reproductive rights, particularly from a historiographic perspective, and will discuss the archives themselves as well as Puerto Rico's landmark abortion case Pueblo v. Duarte (1980).
The event will feature a lecture by Prof. Mayté Rivera Rodríguez, Assistant Professor as the University of Puerto Rico School of Law, followed by a panel with three other professors. The panel will be moderated by Giovanni Caro, a 3L ACS-UPR Board Member. After the event, attendees will be able to follow a guided walkthrough of some of the Chief Justices archives which will be displayed throughout the Library. Additionally, there will be a small reception where we will serve canapés and wine.
This event is co-sponsored by the ACS-UPR Chapter.
