ACS and FedSoc co-sponsored a conversation on progressive prosecution with Charles “Cully” Stimson of the Heritage Foundation and Professor Adam Davidson.
Charles “Cully” Stimson is a widely recognized policy expert in crime control, national security, immigration, homeland security, and drug policy at The Heritage Foundation. Stimson is Deputy Director of the Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies, Manager of the National Security Law Program, Senior Legal Fellow, and Senior Advisor to the President. He has also served as the Chief of Staff at Heritage three times and ran the transition for three Heritage presidential changes of command. Before joining the think tank in 2007, Stimson served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Detainee Affairs.
Professor Adam Davidson is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Chicago Law School. His research broadly focuses on how tools within these and other areas of the law can further debates about reforming or abolishing police, prisons, and the prison industrial complex. Professor Davidson holds a BA in theatre, summa cum laude, from the Ohio State University and a JD, with honors, from the University of Chicago.
