Join ACS for a conversation with FTC Commissioner Rebecca Kelly Slaughter on progressive careers in government and politics. Commissioner Slaughter assumed her current position at the FTC in 2018, where she has been a powerful advocate for digital privacy rights and accountability from large tech companies including Facebook and Google. Prior to joining the FTC, she was Chief Counsel to Senator Charles Schumer during his tenure as the Democratic minority leader. Commissioner Kelly Slaughter received her J.D. from Yale Law School in 2008, where she served as an editor on the Yale Law Journal, and her B.A. from Yale in 2003.
