ACS Houston: Criminal Justice During the COVID-19 Pandemic

COVID-19 has impacted all areas of law, including criminal justice. Because of systemic racism and other systemic inequities, marginalized populations, including people of color, people who lack economic security, and people with disabilities, are more likely than others to be impacted by the spread of COVID-19 in both the Harris County Juvenile Justice Center and the Harris County Jail.

Join the ACS Houston Lawyer Chapter and the Asian American Bar Association of Houston for a panel discussion on these issues that will attempt to answer how COVID-19 has impacted the constitutional rights of criminal defendants (including juvenile defendants) and how attorneys are addressing these additional challenges.
