UNM School of Law Talk with Professor Kent Greenfield & Professor Adam Winkler
Professor Kent Greenfield is the ACS Faculty Advisor for the Boston College Law School ACS Student Chapter. He is an internationally-recognized scholar of constitutional law and corporate governance. He is the Professor of Law and Dean’s Distinguished Scholar at Boston College Law School. He is the author of three books, including Corporations are People Too (And They Should Act Like It) for Yale University Press. He is a frequent public commentator on broadcast and cable news programs, having appeared on CNN, MSNBC, NPR, BBC, Al Jazeera, and Fox. His essays have appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Atlantic, Slate, SCOTUSBlog, the Boston Globe, the American Prospect, Salon, and the Nation. Professor Adam Winkler is the ACS Faculty Advisor for the UCLA School of Law ACS Student Chapter.
Professor Winkler is also on the ACS National Board of Directors, and the ACS National Board of Academic Advisors. He is a specialist in American constitutional law and the Supreme Court. His book We the Corporations: How American Businesses Won Their Civil Rights (2018), received the Scribes Award for the best work of legal scholarship in 2018. He is also the author of Gunfight: The Battle over the Right to Bear Arms in America (2011). His scholarship has been cited in landmark Supreme Court cases on the First and Second Amendments, and according to a 2016 study he is one of the twenty most cited active law professors in judicial opinions.
