Rigged: Screening and Panel
"Rigged" is a feature documentary that exposes the slow bleed out of America's democracy - revealing the decade long conspiracy to reverse the growing demographic tide of new voters. The film reveals how the sacred American tenet of one person, one vote is being trampled upon as we saw what happened in states from Georgia to Florida to Wisconsin to Michigan.
Shot during the 2016 elections, "Rigged: The Voter Suppression Playbook" exposes how the right to vote is under attack, from gerrymandering to new voter restriction laws to widescale voter purges to Shelby vs. Holder. For more information visit riggedthefilm.com.
This screening is part of Cardozo's yearlong series "Women's Votes, Women's Voices," celebrating the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment.
