*CANCELLED* ACS North Carolina: 26th Annual Conference on Race, Class, Gender, and Ethnicity – “Immigration: A Global Humanitarian Crisis”
Join the ACS North Carolina Lawyer Chapter, the ACS UNC School of Law Student Chapter, and the UNC School of Law chapters of the Environmental Law Project, Law Students Against Sexual and Domestic Violence, Lambda Legal, the National Lawyers Guild, and the Immigration Law Association for the 26th Annual Conference on Race, Class, Gender, and Ethnicity.
This year’s conference, titled “Immigration: A Global Humanitarian Crisis,” considers the effects of state and national law on the lives of immigrants, as well as conditions leading to migration. Topics that will be examined at the Conference include: the effects of immigration laws on LGBTQ asylum seekers and domestic abuse survivors, the effects of climate change on global migration, and the expansion of executive power as it pertains to immigration.
Tickets are free for students with an ID, $20 for community members and attorneys not seeking CLE credit, and $40 for attorneys seeking CLE credit. No one will be turned away for inability to pay.
