Death Penalty in Delaware: A Virtual Forum
We understand that these are serious times and that they call for serious measures to be taken. We all need to do our part in ensuring that as few people as possible are impacted by the coronavirus. Each of us needs to do our part, through social distancing and diligent hygiene practices, to combat this pandemic. That is why this has now been moved to Zoom.
By RSVP'ing you will automatically receive the Zoom link the day before the event. You can RSVP here.
Panelists will explore capital punishment in general and in particular the legislative initiatives being considered in the Delaware General Assembly this year.
The purpose of this discussion is to inform the community of the serious consequences of moving Delaware back to the status of a “death penalty state”.
Panelists Include:
Brendan O'Neil - Public Defenders Office
Barbara Lewis - Restorative Justice Advocate - Personal experience with DP
Kristin Froehlich - Victim family member who fought against use of DP
Karen Lantz - Civil Rights Lawyer with the ACLU-DE
More to come
There will be an opportunity for questions from those attending.
