What Would Defund Look Like?

Join the ACS Santa Clara Law Student Chapter, the Santa Clara Black law Student Association, and the ACLU NorCal SCU Law Club for a panel event to discuss different views of what "defunding the police" would look like. 

At this event each panelist will discuss their take on police reform in the wake of the nationwide protests against police brutality. Topics that will be discussed are ways to end discriminatory policing practices that disproportionately impact Black people, means of establishing further accountability for violent police officers, and means of shifting funding from LEO to social services.
