Possibilities and Perils of Supreme Court Reform in 2021: On Monday, the Senate is likely to vote on the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to be the next Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court. Should Judge Barrett be confirmed, she will cement a 6-3 conservative majority on the Court.

Speaker Bio:

Aaron Belkin is the founder and director of Take Back the Court, a group dedicated to informing the public about the danger that the Supreme Court poses to democracy, and about the viability of court-expansion. Professor Belkin is also the founding director of the Palm Center, which was foundational in the repeal of the military’s "Don’t ask, don’t tell” policy. His research has been covered widely by the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Politico, NPR, and CNN, among other news outlets. Professor Belkin serves as professor of political science at San Francisco State University. He is a graduate of Brown University and earned his Ph.D. in political science at the University of California, Berkeley.
