Native American Voting Rights: Past and Present Challenges

The Harvard Law ACS Student Chapter and the Native American Law Students Association are proud to present, "Native American Voting Rights: Past and Present Challenges" featuring Natalie Landreth and Jacqueline De León, two attorneys from the Native American Rights Fund (NARF).

Speaker Bios:

Natalie Landreth (HLS '01) is a Senior Staff Attorney based in the Anchorage office and a member of the Litigation Management Committee. Natalie's practice covers a wide variety of federal Indian law and election law issues, including the Voting Rights Act, Constitutional voter protections, tribal jurisdiction, and the Indian Child Welfare Act. 

Jacqueline De León is a staff attorney at NARF, where she helped lead field hearings across Indian Country on Native American voting rights, co-authored NARF’s report, Obstacles at Every Turn: Barriers to Political Participation Faced by Native American Voters, and practices ongoing voter rights litigation. Jacqueline has testified before Congress on multiple occasions detailing voting rights issues in Indian Country.
