ACS Northeast Ohio: Captured Courts - The Right’s Assault on the Judiciary

President Donald Trump and Senator Mitch McConnell recently passed a milestone, packing the federal bench with 200 life-tenured judges, many of whom are unqualified, nearly all of them white men. These judges who will serve for decades are poised to tilt the scales of justice in favor of corporate and conservative political interests. 

Please join us for a virtual conversation with U.S. Senators Sheldon Whitehouse and Sherrod Brown as they discuss the Right’s continued and coordinated assault on the Constitution, the Judiciary, and the Rule of Law. The program will focus on the findings and conclusions of the recent report “Captured Courts: The GOP’s Big Money Assault on The Constitution, Our Independent Judiciary, and The Rule of Law” and will discuss ways that progressive lawyers from across the country can help fight back against these blatant attempts to use the courts to achieve right wing goals.
