Creighton Law Legal Observer Training

We have arranged for ACLU of NE's Riley Wilson to lead a training event for students and faculty at Creighton University to learn how to be Legal Observers. We believe that dissent is patriotic, and our community members' right to free speech should be protected. Legal Observers volunteer at protests in the community to document all interactions between protesters and police, as well as interactions between the protesters and the larger community. Riley will show the attendees what should or should not do in the Legal Observer Role, and will also share about his experience as a legal observer in Omaha, as well. Creighton Law's SBA will cover the cost of reflective safety vests for the Law students who pre-register and attend the event, and lunch will be provided at the event as well! We will be collecting RSVPs for the event, but the event will also be open for people to join without pre-registering, but we will collect all attendee's information.
