Untouchable: Survivors' Examination of Current Sex Offense Laws
This event will screen the documentary Untouchable, which was shown at the Tribeca Film Festival. This screening will be followed by a discussion about the way our current sex offense laws affect both survivors of sexual abuse, as well as the repercussions for those who are on the sex offense registry. The conversation will focus on the goal of eradicating abuse, while also evaluating whether registry laws in their current formulation do more harm than good and what can be done to better serve survivors.
