A Hard Look at Textualism

ACS at Michigan Law’s event with Joseph Kimble on Monday, 10/10, titled “A Hard Look at Textualism.” This event featured a lively discussion with 60+ Michigan Law students, focusing on how progressive-minder lawyers can use textualist principles to their advantage. The event was an hour long and featured a taco bar from a local Ann Arbor restaurant.

We are requesting $400 for lunch for the event. Two weeks ago, we discussed with Peggy Li that the Michigan chapter would be able to receive a little extra funding for food since our turnouts have been so high this year. We also received approval for this specific event via email.
