ACS Chicago Lawyer Chapter Holds 5th Annual U.S. Supreme Court Term Review

On June 27, 2008, the ACS Chicago Lawyer Chapter sponsored its fifth annual U.S. Supreme Court Term in Review. A panel of law professors and practitioners analyzed some of the Court's most noteworthy and controversial decisions from 2007-08, including cases dealing with the Second Amendment, the death penalty, and the rights of Guantanamo detainees. The program, hosted by Chapter Sponsor Mayer Brown LLP, was attended by more than 175 practitioners, law students, academics, and public interest lawyers. Panelists were Susan Bandes, Distinguished Research Professor, DePaul University College of Law; David Hamilton, Professor, University of Illinois College of Law; Jeff Sarles, Partner, Mayer Brown; and Barry Sullivan, Partner, Jenner & Block LLP and former Dean, Washington & Lee University School of Law. It was moderated by Steve Sanders, Associate, Mayer Brown.
