A Land Twice Promised

Noa Baum is an internationally known professional storyteller who was born in raised in Jerusalem during the turmoil of the '60s and '70s. She tells the story of the friendship she developed with a Palestinian woman while living in America. In this one-woman theater production, she weaves together the story of their developing friendship and the experiences of their mothers--two generations of women living on opposite sides of a long-standing struggle.

ACS Spring Trivia Night

Trivia Night is the W&L Chapter's bi-annual purely social event. We believe that the progressive community, needs to bond both in a social and an intellectual sense. This night is all about bonding!

Drugs: Science, Reality, and Legality

This drug policy panel is sponsored by the Washington and Lee School of Law Student Chapter of the American Constitution Society.

Dr. Stuart Finkelstein, M.D., a leading addiction specialist in the United States, will explain the science and reality of drugs and addiction. Washington and Lee Law Professor Erik Luna will present the legal aspects of drug policy.

This panel will provide students and faculty with a great opportunity to explore controversial topics related to drugs, addiction, and the law. The speakers will also contrast the current legal and medical responses to drugs both in the United States and the rest of the developed world.
